Air defence and command & control

In the Air Defence sector, through the integration of radar and sensors, SELEX Systems Integration's integrated command and control systems provide real time images for airspace management. Our solutions include radar surveillance systems, comprising low-altitude target tracking, early-warning, and mission planning and control systems. Within this sector, we are a world leader, providing:

  • Command and controld systems for Air Forces (fixed and mobile air operations C2)

  • RAT31DL and RAT31DL/M long-range surveillance radar
  • ARGOS 73 low altitude surveillance radar
  • RAT31SL early-warning radar

  • KRONOS/T and MFRA/T, new developments in active technology

In the air defence field, we are Europe's leading provider of 3D long-range radar to NATO with the RAT31DL, along with other sensors in this family including the new RAT31DL/M (DADR), the high-mobility transportable version recently adopted by some European countries.

We have supplied the Italian Air Force with the command and control system, SiCCAM, and has developed integrated turnkey systems for other countries' air defence, such as the SOC-Sector Operations Centre programme for the Royal Malaysian Air Force.

SELEX Systems Integration is responsible for Post Design Services for the UK MOD’s fleet of over 40 Operational Watchman Surveillance Radars. The company is also a member of the Fusion team currently bidding for the Project MARSHALL. This 22-year programme will provide long-term ATM capability for the safe operation of all the MOD’s main bases, airfields and air weapon ranges in the UK and overseas, including those used for deployed operations.
