Integrated Effectors
The co-ordination of interventions grounded on a common scenario
ensures maximum operational efficacy and minimum risk of friendly
fire or collateral damages. In particular, it
helps ensure full awareness of the allied forces'
position. Not to inadequately respond – or over-respond – to the
threat, ensures maintaining an adequate intervention capacity to
the operational planning.
Actuators are integrated into the information network and
arranged according to planning as to maximise position and
function with respect to the tactic and strategic evolution, while
bringing in the integrated logistic aspects that are a constituent
of the operational activities. Integration of actuators includes
the use of crewed and uncrewed vehicles for highly critical
missions.
The effectors integrated into the systems include:
- Ground units (tanks and other armoured vehicles, gun batteries
and soldiers with equipment suited to the new missions)
- Airplanes
- Helicopters
- Ships
- Missile systems
Forces in the field carry out the operating plan as a combined
force, dynamically coordinating their actions thanks to constantly
updated knowledge of the battlefield, provided in real-time by the
continuously updated Common Operational Picture (COP).
