Visible policing with faster detection and reduced crime

SELEX Systems Integration introduced a unique patrol support
system, in response to UK Police Forces' need to achieve higher
rates of detection and conviction to meet Home Office legislation
and initiatives, which generated several regulatory and
budgetary benefits.
Challenge
UK Police Forces are seeking to achieve higher rates of
detection and conviction to meet Home Office legislation and
initiatives. This is being done by reducing crime with more
effective targeting of priority offenders and organised crime
within and across force and agency boundaries. Underpinning this,
is a people-focused service that reduces citizens' concerns about
crime.
How SELEX Systems Integration is helping
Following a successful pilot study, SELEX Systems Integration is
collaborating with one of its sister companies, ELSAG, to
introduce a unique patrol support system, which allows rapid,
on-site capture of information in full accordance with the National
Intelligence Model, and which enables the administration of justice
to offenders without recourse to the facilities at a static custody
suite.
