Integrated Rail Solutions

SELEX Systems Integration, along with other members of the
Finmeccanica Group and their
strategic partners, held an Integrated Rail Solutions event on 10
November 2009, focused on helping the UK rail industry meet its
long-term strategic objectives.
The seminar brought together delegates from the senior
management of the rail industry, including the Department for
Transport, Transport for London and other rail industry bodies, in
order to demonstrate how companies such as Finmeccanica, Fujitsu,
Bombardier, NATS, Maxima and Resolve are working together to
provide more integrated and innovative solutions that address the
current and future challenges of the rail industry.
Duncan Kemp from the Department for Transport, gave the keynote
address, followed by presentations from Sir Brian Burridge, VP
Strategy & Marketing, Finmeccanica; Paul Forrest, VP Strategy
& Marketing, Bombardier; and Anne Stokes, Business Unit
Director, Transport, Manufacturing & Services, Fujitsu.
There was also the opportunity to network with other industry
personnel, and view several demonstrations of the companies’
systems and capabilities, which we believe will help the industry
move forward.
The rail industry is facing some demanding programme challenges,
and we believe that working together, we can help it become more
integrated, cost-effective and achieve its vision of the
future.
