SELEX Systems Integration exhibits latest Security, Resilience and Battlespace initiatives at DSEi

9 September 2009 – SELEX Systems Integration Ltd, a Finmeccanica company, is exhibiting some of its latest Security, Resilience and Battlespace training solutions to deal with the new and evolving threats posed in the 21st century, at DSEi 2009.

As governments around the world develop national security strategies to protect society against an increasingly wide range of threats, risks and instabilities, Finmeccanica and its subsidiary companies, including SELEX Systems Integration, are deploying their proven technology and expertise to deliver leading edge capability for increasingly complex military and non-military domains.

Building upon its heritage and experience in the defence and security markets, and its expertise in delivering bespoke training solutions, SELEX Systems Integration is demonstrating its applications to support:

  • UAV training – a highly visual tool featuring mission definition and exercise control capability. It supports the complete range of UAV mission activities from launch to engagement, using video games technology integrated with SELEX System Integration’s own simulation technology.
  • First Responder training – a prototype tool for training first responders to an emergency scene. Featuring high fidelity medical symptomology, trainees are presented with life-like triage decisions, with the tool tracking decision-making accuracy and how conclusions were arrived at.
  • Gold Standard training – a test and training and evaluation toolset to support multi-agency civil command team co-operation and coherence in the effective crisis management of major emergencies and events. It follows the CONTEST principle of ‘Prevent, Pursue, Protect, and Prepare’.

DSEi is one of the world’s largest defence and security exhibitions and conferences, and takes place at Excel in London from 8-11 September. SELEX Systems Integration is on the Finmeccanica stand (565).
