SELEX Systems Integration focuses on partnering at ITEC
2011
10 May 2011 – SELEX Systems
Integration Ltd, a Finmeccanica company, is reaffirming its
commitment to meeting ongoing military training requirements by
once again attending and contributing to the International Training
Exhibition and Conference (ITEC), which it has supported for more
than 15 years.
Visitors to the SELEX Systems
Integration stand (D110) will be able to meet with our dedicated
team of training experts to discuss how SELEX Systems Integration
can support specific training requirements as their ‘Training
Partner for today, tomorrow and the future’.
Of interest to visitors this
year, is the company’s latest innovations in support of the
increasing international UAS training requirements; based on SELEX
Systems Integration’s experience as the training partner of the
Thales UK WATCHKEEPER programme. Visitors can also experience how
the latest training technologies (including virtual worlds, serious
games, and synthetic equipment trainers) are being utilised by
SELEX Systems Integration to help transform organisations’ specific
learning requirement.
ITEC is Europe’s only annual
dedicated conference and exhibition for defence training, education
and simulation, with visitors from over 45 countries, including
military personnel from Europe, USA, Canada and NATO. This year,
ITEC is taking place in Cologne from 10-12 May, where SELEX Systems
Integration will be continuing its long-term support of ITEC by
contributing to the conference and exhibition.
SELEX Systems Integration has
extensive heritage in the training arena, and its learning
knowledge and expertise is consolidated under its dedicated
Training Solutions team. The team has two decades’ experience in
the definition, development, and management of through-life
military training solutions to help enhance operational capability
and organisational performance for some of Europe’s most
technologically complex platforms.
Working in partnership with many
of the world’s Defence primes, including those of our parent
company Finmeccanica, SELEX Systems Integration is currently
supporting initial, conversion, and refresher training for
programmes including Watchkeeper TUAV, Chinook, Merlin, Puma, F-16,
Apache, and Titan and Trojan. At the same time, our training
consultants are also helping define the future training programmes
for the UK’s Complex Weapons FireShadow programme and the Future
Infantry Soldier Technology (FIST) system.
Delegates to the ITEC conference
can hear SELEX Systems Integration’s Steve Jarvis presenting a
paper called “Lessons learned from serious games developments in
the context of combat medical training”, as part of the Serious
Games programme stream.
